Job summary

Tessera Labs is hiring a Backend Engineer (Mid-Level) to design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems powering our AI automation platform. You’ll develop RESTful APIs, data pipelines, and integrations with enterprise systems such as SAP, Salesforce, and Workday.

You’ll work in a fast-paced startup environment, tackling distributed systems challenges, optimizing performance, and collaborating with frontend, AI, and product teams to deliver practical, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years backend development with APIs and distributed systems.
• Proficient in Python with FastAPI/SQLAlchemy.
• Experience with PostgreSQL/MySQL and data modeling.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Develop microservices for data processing and enterprise integrations.
• Optimise database schemas, queries, and caching for performance.
• Collaborate on data pipelines and synchronization with external systems.
