Job summary

Safari AI in Miami is building a live-streaming analytics platform for enterprise computer vision applications. You will own the backend data pipeline, scale real-time processing, and contribute to greenfield projects in Python and systems programming.

We value hands-on builders who read docs, ask for help when unsure, and enjoy ownership of a project in a small, collaborative team. You will work on AWS, Kafka, and Kubernetes in a fast-moving startup.

What you'll do

• Build and scale our ML data live streaming analytics platform (Python)
• Lead and contribute to greenfield internal projects to extend and optimize existing real time processing needs (Python and/or Rust)
• Design and implement reliability backend services (Python)

What we're looking for

• 4+ years software experience in Python
• Proficiency with live data streaming and real-time analytics, (Kafka/Pulsar/InfluxDB)
• Experience in AWS cloud infrastructure and services
• Experience migrating services to Rust for improved performance and reliability
• Experience with Kubernetes and tools for orchestration
