The Creative Effectiveness Platform is seeking a Backend Software Engineer to help shape the world’s largest brands’ advertising effectiveness. You’ll build Python services and APIs powering an AI platform, collaborate with product, design, and data science teams, and operate in a fast, AI-native environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of real-world software engineering experience.
• Strong commercial experience building backend services in Python.
• Experience designing and building REST APIs for headless frontends.
• Experience building SaaS software and taking code into production at scale.
• Hands-on experience with major cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Working understanding of infrastructure as code.
• Solid experience with databases and data modelling.
• Daily use of Claude Code as an engineering tool with subagents/workflows.
• Experience building MCP servers or understanding MCP.
• Experience in a product operating model with cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with security and compliance requirements of enterprise customers.
• Familiarity with machine learning systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner as a member of an empowered product team, sharing accountability for outcomes.
• Contribute to continuous product discovery and build quick prototypes.
• Design, build and own Python backend services for the AI platform from media upload to insight delivery.
• Work API-first and spec-driven, defining REST contracts for headless frontends and integrations.
• Build MCP servers to expose data and capabilities to AI agents and tools.
• Use Claude Code daily to build skills, subagents, and workflows.
• Take code into production with testing, observability, and reliability.
• Contribute to infrastructure as code and cloud deployment practices.
• Collaborate with data scientists to bring models into production.
• Build with enterprise security and compliance in mind.
