Schweitzer is seeking seasonal kitchen staff at Snowshoe, WV, to support Sunrise Backcountry Hut. Duties include stocking, pre-prepping, and cooking with a small team in varied weather.

On-mountain housing available; the role requires effort, reliability, and the ability to work early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Pay is $15.00–18.00 per hour, with start dates at the end of November or early December.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Cooking experience preferred; knowledge of safety practices.
• CPR/First Aid certification familiarity is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Stock inventory and pick up supplies.
• Pre-preparing food for dinner service (chopping, cutting, mixing or prepping sauces).
• Cook menu items in collaboration with the Backcountry Hut team.
• Ensure kitchen and dining area are kept clean.
• Ensure menu items come out high quality and timely.
• Practice nutrition and sanitation requirements by proper food handling and storage.
• Precisely deliver guest orders by following recipes and instructions.
• Prepare plates per specifications and posted instructions.
• Maintain attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.
• Transport food, linens, alcohol and drinks in variable trail conditions.
• Conduct basic hut maintenance (propane checks, water hauling, shoveling, walkway clearing).
• Filling inspection logs and inventory logs weekly.
