Job summary

Reworld Projects, LLC is seeking a Back Plant Operator in Fort Myers, FL to perform essential oper­ational tasks in a fast-paced industrial setting. This entry-level role emphasizes safety and long-term advancement through hands-on maintenance of ash handling and metal recovery systems.

You will participate in daily kickoff meetings, perform routine PMs, and adhere to lock-out/tag-out safety procedures while supporting plant operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Able to work a rotating shift schedule.
• Able to lift 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to wear a full-face respirator.

Responsibilities

• Upkeep, maintenance, and operation of the plant and its equipment, focusing on ash handling and metal recovery.
• Execute cleaning tasks, groundskeeping, and assist operations and maintenance as requested.
• Participate in the Safety Observation System in Process Map per policy.
• Additional duties to ensure safe, efficient facility operations, including PM on mobile equipment.
• Perform daily walkdowns of back ash area inspecting conveyors, belts, rollers and separators for defects.
• Monitor equipment performance: speeds, alignment, ash buildup, and cleanliness.
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance and assist with corrective tasks.
• Attend daily morning kickoff meeting with the maintenance team to review the day’s plan.
• Support scheduled shutdowns to complete repairs safely.
• Safely perform lock-out/tag-out procedures for maintenance activities.
• Report issues and submit repair requests through work orders.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment in ash handling and metal recovery areas.
