Job summary

Convene Hospitality Group in New York is seeking a Back of House Service Technician to support our culinary team at Convene 530 Fifth Avenue. You will help maintain a clean, organized kitchen, assist with dishwashing, and ensure food safety standards are followed.

The role requires physical stamina, teamwork and reliability. Competitive hourly rate with eligibility for performance bonuses, and full-time hours with potential for shift flexibility.

Qualifications

• Previous experience preferred.
• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull and place objects up to 25 pounds without assistance.
• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time.
• Flexible and long hours are sometimes required.

Responsibilities

• Care and cleaning of kitchen equipment, dish room and pot washing areas.
• Operate and maintain dish room equipment according to sanitary standards.
• Wash pots, pans, trays and other cooking and serving equipment.
• Keep display equipment clean and free of debris during meal service as assigned.
• Maintain and refresh restrooms.
• Follow sanitation and safety in handling food and equipment.
• Transfer supplies between storage and work areas.
• Remove trash and maintain clean floors in kitchen and dining area.
• Complete shift work in a timely thorough manner.
