Job summary

Milestone Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Backend Developer to enhance our cloud-first services and REST APIs. You will collaborate with front-end developers, QA, BA, and teammates to deliver scalable, observable applications.

You will design and implement backend services for workflow orchestration, using Rust as a primary language and integrating with Temporal, SQL and document databases. You value code reviews and proactive issue resolution.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience designing backend services for workflow orchestration platforms (Temporal), including workflow execution, state management, task routing, observability, and operational automation.
• 5+ years experience with core design principles of scalable applications.
• 5+ years’ experience with Rust as a primary language and one or more of Node, C#, Python; understanding of SQL and document database development.
• Ability to translate technology requirements to internal stakeholders.
• Capable of self-deployments in container pipelines.
• Firm understanding of cloud infrastructure.
• Understanding of SQL and document database development.
• BA/BS preferred.

We are actively seeking a motivated Back-end Developer to enhance our dynamic team. The ideal candidate is a team player who works well with others but is also able to work independently. You excel at creating and improving scalable services in line with innovations.

As a Back-end Developer, your role could include building services, REST APIs, and state aware workflows largely in cloud environments. We love collaborating with teammates on new app designs, partnering with front-end developers, Quality Analysts, Business Analysts, and other team members to combine work into a cohesive product, and improving existing services.
