Description

TITLE: Back Door Attendant - Retail Program

PURPOSE: Accept donations from the public.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Accept donations from the general public.
• Assist in the unloading of donated items from donors' vehicles.
• Treat all customers with respect.
• Refuse donations that do not meet Goodwill standards (e.g., torn, stained, broken furniture, large appliances). If the customer insists items are in working condition, direct them to the local processing center in Falls Creek (8:00 am - 2:30 pm, Monday-Friday).
• Offer a tax donation slip and sign acknowledging donation acceptance.
• Store donations efficiently, stacking safely and neatly, packing loose donations into bags or boxes.
• Keep the area outside the building clean; immediately bring in donations left outside during off-hours.
• Assist in loading and unloading the Goodwill truck.
• In winter, ensure access is clear of snow and ice.

RELATIONS:

Works under the supervision of the Store Manager/Assistant Manager, and also under the supervision of the Senior Sales Manager, President and C.E.O., or Vice President of Retail Operations.

• Achievement of set standards.

• Conduct reflecting high morals and integrity.
• Personal appearance following dress code and hygiene standards.
