Salary Range: $10.75 - $10.75 Hourly

Description

TITLE: Back Door Attendant - Retail Program

Purpose: Accept donations from the public.

Essential Functions:
  • Accept donations from the general public
  • Assist in the unloading of donated items from donors' vehicles
  • Treat all customers with respect
  • Refuse donations that do not meet Goodwill standards (e.g., torn, stained, broken items, large appliances). Inform customers to take such items to the processing center in Falls Creek during specified hours if they insist the items are in working condition.
  • Offer a tax donation slip after accepting donations and sign acknowledging receipt
  • Store donations efficiently, stacking safely and packing loose items into bags or boxes
  • Keep the outside area clean, removing litter and moving donations inside during off-hours
  • Assist in loading and unloading the Goodwill truck
  • Ensure access is clear of snow and ice in winter
Relations

Works under the supervision of the Store Manager/Assistant Manager, and also under the supervision of the Senior Sales Manager, President and CEO of Goodwill Industries, and/or the Vice President of Retail Operations.
