Job summary

FinWise Bank Corporation is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead day-to-day accounting for BaaS partnership accounts and ensure GAAP-compliant reporting. You will manage reconciliations, strengthen internal controls, and coordinate regulatory reporting, audits, and disclosures.

You will supervise staff, drive process improvements, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives in a dynamic financial services environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3-5 years of accounting and financial reporting experience in banking and/or financial services.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day accounting functions for BaaS partnership accounts and reconciliation/reporting.
• Prepare and review account reconciliations, identify risks, maintain control environment.
• Apply analytical skills to financial reporting and problem-solving.
• Oversee general ledger, journal entries, AR, balances, reconciliations, and GAAP reporting.
• Ensure accurate, timely regulatory reports and support SEC disclosures.
• Stay current with GAAP and regulatory changes; drive improvements.
• Assist regulatory examinations, audits, and address findings.
• Supervise accounting staff and support professional growth.
• Support BaaS initiatives and align with bank goals.
• Perform other duties as directed.
