Job summary

LifeStream Behavioral Center is seeking a dedicated Emergency Eval Specialist to assess clients in behavioral health crises and coordinate detox services. You will document evaluations and connect clients with appropriate internal or external services, while aligning with best practices in crisis intervention.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in human services, at least 2 years in behavioral healthcare, and ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human services or related field is required.
• Minimum 2 years of behavioral healthcare experience required.
• Emergency or acute care experience preferred.
• Familiarity with healthcare regulations and ethical standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and preliminary assessments for clients entering LifeStream's continuum of services.
• Document all contacts and evaluations promptly and accurately per center policy.
• Interacts with individuals, courts, agencies, law enforcement and professionals to plan treatment.
• Link clients to services within LifeStream or refer to external professionals when needed.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices in crisis intervention and behavioral health.
• Demonstrate cooperative problem-solving and conflict-resolution with staff and families.

Job description
