Job summary

Tanium is seeking an Event Manager, Tradeshows to own end-to-end planning, logistics, and execution of Tanium's presence at third-party tradeshows and conferences across North America and globally.

The ideal candidate will manage budgets, contracts, and collaborations with the Marketing, Sales, and Field teams to drive qualified pipeline and measurable ROI, with 25-30% travel and a hybrid office schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Event Management, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in B2B event or field marketing, with independent ownership of large events (1,000+ attendees or 400+ sq ft booths).
• Deep expertise in tradeshow operations including design, fabrication, contracting, drayage, A/V, housing blocks, and on-site logistics.
• Proven ability to build and manage event budgets of $500K or more with reconciliation of actuals against forecast.
• Experience managing multiple events across geographies and time zones.
• Proficiency with event platforms (Cvent, Bizzabo, Swoogo, Splash) and CRM systems.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end lifecycle of Tanium's tradeshow and third-party event program, from selection through on-site execution and post-event analysis.
• Develop and manage the annual tradeshow calendar aligned with Marketing, Sales, and Field priorities to maximize pipeline impact per dollar spent.
• Lead pre-event logistics: venue coordination, booth design, A/V, shipping, staffing, housing blocks, and sponsorships.
• Manage relationships with event organizers, contractors, A/V vendors, swag suppliers, and other partners; negotiate contracts and ensure quality and timelines.
• Build and manage event budgets from forecast to reconciliation; track spend and report ROI to marketing leadership.
• Develop integrated pre-show and post-show campaigns with Demand Gen, Field Marketing, and Digital teams for registrations and meetings.
• Coordinate with Field Sales to brief attendees, plan executive meetings, and prepare event staff.
• Oversee tradeshow collateral and branded materials; ensure timely delivery and on-brand assets.
• Serve as on-site lead at major tradeshows, ensuring flawless execution and troubleshooting in real time.
• Measure performance: leads, pipeline influence, meetings, cost per lead, attendee satisfaction; deliver post-event debriefs.
