Job summary

US News & World Report is seeking an Account Executive for Education, Student Connect in Washington, DC. You will build a B2B book of business with colleges, universities, and vendors, driving year-over-year growth in the education vertical and managing campaigns and client onboarding.

The role emphasizes strategic prospecting, pipeline management, and consultative discovery, with a hybrid work model requiring 2 days per week in our offices.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years’ proven success in B2B SaaS sales or enterprise account management, closing large-scale deals.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication; able to engage with high-level university administrators.
• Strong familiarity with CRM systems (Zoho), Google Suite and Gemini.
• Ability to juggle multiple projects with high attention to detail.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Identify and qualify high-value B2B opportunities in higher education and corporate brand sectors.
• Cultivate a robust sales pipeline of B2B marketing and advertising prospects.
• Stay current on higher education trends to position Student Connect solutions.
• Conduct discovery meetings to understand institutional goals and present tailored solutions.
• Oversee onboarding of new clients and ensure deliverables and timelines.
• Oversee campaign management and reporting of ROI.
• Maintain accurate records in Zoho and manage contracts and billing inquiries.
