Job summary

The Home Depot is seeking a Collections Specialist to support our Pro Trade Credit program in Atlanta. You will manage a portfolio of commercial accounts, contact past-due customers, and work toward timely revenue recovery while preserving relationships with professional trade partners.

Key duties include outreach and negotiation, account reconciliation, documentation in ERP/Credit systems, potential lien prep, and collaboration with Legal and Sales to ensure compliant, coordinated collections.

Qualifications

2+ years in B2B collections, Accounts Receivable, or related finance role.
Experience with Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and Power BI.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Familiarity with fair debt collection practices; lien rights preferred but trainable.

Responsibilities

Outreach and negotiation with commercial customers to secure payment commitments.
Account reconciliation and resolution of billing discrepancies, missing POs, or POD disputes.
Maintain legally defensible notes in ERP/Credit software.
Identify accounts for lien initiation and prepare documentation for review by Credit Manager/Legal.
Monitor aging reports and place high-risk accounts on Credit Hold per policy, informing the Sales team.
