Job summary

Martin Bauer North America is seeking a results-oriented Business Development Manager with deep experience in B2B ingredient sales and animal nutrition markets. You will drive growth by building new customer relationships and expanding existing accounts across livestock, pet food, and animal health segments.

You will collaborate with technical teams, product management, and global colleagues to identify opportunities, develop solutions, and deliver long-term customer value.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of successful B2B sales experience.
• 2+ years developing new business in animal nutrition, feed ingredients, pet food, or animal health markets.
• Bachelor's degree preferred in a related field.
• Existing relationships within the animal nutrition industry strongly preferred.
• Experience working with SAP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver agreed-upon new business growth objectives aligned with financial goals.
• Develop and execute strategic business development plans for the Animal Nutrition category.
• Identify opportunities with feed manufacturers, pet food companies, and distributors.
• Expand relationships and revenue within existing accounts; penetrate new markets.
• Collaborate with technical, product, supply chain, and marketing teams to deliver solutions.
• Review monthly/quarterly sales performance and adjust actions.
• Monitor market trends and customer needs in animal nutrition sectors.
• Build relationships with customers, industry organizations, and key decision-makers.
• Work with international teams to leverage global capabilities and solutions.
• Participate in industry trade shows and conferences to strengthen market presence.
• Maintain CRM activity and report on sales results.
