Job summary

Hyundai Motor America is seeking a bumper-to-bumper, master certified technician capable of diagnosing and repairing any system of the automobile without supervision. In many cases, leaders in the shop are chosen to support the development of other technicians when needed and may interface with customers.

This is a full-time position in a very busy shop. A high school diploma is required and 1-3 years of experience is expected.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• 1-3 years automotive technician experience.
• Ability to diagnose and repair most vehicle systems with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to learn and apply new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair most automotive systems with minimal guidance.
• Lead and mentor other technicians as needed and act as a trainer when required.

A technician capable of diagnosing and repairing most systems of the automobile, with little guidance or support from an A-Tech, Shop Foreman, or Team Leader. Efficient and effective at on the job learning to apply to new vehicles and technology when concerns arise. Improved diagnostic skills through training & experience, and competent in complex mechanical repairs.

Hyundai Technical Training Equivalency Assessment Program

Hyundai welcomes experienced technicians from other OEMs. The program allows technicians with training from an industry-recognized source, other than Hyundai, to test out of certain Hyundai instructor-led technical training courses, provided they meet certain requirements.
