Job summary

Hyundai Motor America is seeking an experienced automotive technician capable of diagnosing and repairing most vehicle systems with minimal supervision. You will apply on-the-job learning to new vehicles and technology as concerns arise, leveraging training and experience to improve diagnostics.

The role includes independently diagnosing and repairing customer concerns, performing warranty repairs, and continuing Hyundai certifications through our technical training equivalency program.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• 1-3 years automotive technician experience.
• Progress through Hyundai certifications through training equivalency program.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair most automobile systems with minimal supervision.
• Independently diagnose and repair customer concerns.
• Perform warranty repairs.
• Advance Hyundai certifications through provided training.

A technician capable of diagnosing and repairing most systems of the automobile, with little guidance orsupport from an A-Tech, Shop Foreman, or Team Leader. Efficient and effective at on the job learning to applyto new vehicles and technology when concerns arise. Improved diagnostic skills through training & experience,and competent in complex mechanical repairs.

Hyundai Technical Training Equivalency Assessment Program

Hyundai welcomes experienced technicians from other OEMs. The program allows technicians with training from an industry-recognized source, other than Hyundai, to test out of certain Hyundai instructor-led technical training courses, provided they meet certain requirements.
