Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, 1–3 years of professional experience, and a drive to learn. Hyundai welcomes technicians from other OEMs through the Hyundai Technical Training Equivalency
A technician capable of diagnosing and repairing most systems of the automobile, with little guidance orsupport from an A-Tech, Shop Foreman, or Team Leader. Efficient and effective at on the job learning to applyto new vehicles and technology when concerns arise. Improved diagnostic skills through training & experience,and competent in complex mechanical repairs.

Hyundai welcomes experienced technicians from other OEMs. The program allows technicians with training from an industry-recognized source, other than Hyundai, to test out of certain Hyundai instructor-led technical training courses, provided they meet certain requirements.
An "entry level" technician: Capable of oil changes, tire rotations, completing minor services, tire, and batteryreplacement etc. Can perform most tasks that do not require in-depth diagnostics or complex criticalmechanical aptitude with guidance as needed upon researching work instructions, or after being taught theproper techniques first.
