Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a candidate to join our pork procurement team. The Associate hog buyer will handle livestock tasks including sorting, counting, weighing, tattooing and penning hogs in a hog yard environment.

You will learn carcass merit kill sheet information and weight docks as part of Tyson Pork Procurement Programs. The role requires overnight travel and may involve stepping in as station relief buyer in the absence of the manager for training and coverage.

Qualifications

• Experience with livestock handling and management.
• Strong communication with drivers and team members.
• Proficiency in basic computer tasks and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Handle livestock tasks: sort, count, weigh, tattoo and pen hogs.
• Learn Tyson Pork Procurement programs and kill sheet information.
• Serve as station relief buyer during manager absence; support training.
