Job summary

Mark's Auto Service in Gillette, NJ, is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician for a Monday–Friday schedule with competitive pay and a weekly bonus. The role includes diagnosing and repairing a wide range of vehicles in a six-bay shop with lifts, and offers training, ASE reimbursement, and a path to ASE certification.

You will perform maintenance, digital inspections, and electrical/mechanical repairs while collaborating with a supportive team.

Qualifications

• B-Level automotive repair experience with ability to work independently.
• Intermediate-to-advanced diagnostic ability including electrical and drivability.
• Experience performing digital vehicle inspections.
• Experience servicing a broad mix of domestic, Asian, European, and fleet vehicles.
• ASE certifications are strongly preferred; NJ emissions licensing a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and general repair across various vehicle makes and models.
• Complete digital vehicle inspections with clear documentation and recommendations.
• Diagnose drivability, mechanical, and electrical concerns using diagnostic tools.
• Use Snap-on and Autel scan tools to support diagnostics and repair decisions.
• Perform tires, brakes, oil-leak repairs, electrical work, maintenance, and engine repairs.
• Cooperate with management and teammates to maintain efficient workflow.
