Job summary

Gilder Search Group is seeking A Level and B Level Automotive Technicians for a respected independent repair shop in Stewartsville, NJ. Expect a Monday–Friday schedule, no weekends, and a competitive pay range with production bonuses and potential earnings over $100,000 for top performers.

Role involves diagnosing and repairing a broad mix of domestic, Asian, and European vehicles, with ongoing training and room for career growth in a long-standing shop.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of professional automotive repair experience for A Level technicians.
• 2+ years of professional automotive technician experience for B Level technicians.
• ASE certifications are preferred (reimbursement provided after completion).
• Experience using modern scan tools and diagnostic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, inspections, maintenance, and repairs on Domestic, Asian, and European vehicles.
• Diagnose drivability, engine performance, electrical systems, and vehicle concerns using modern diagnostic tools.
• Repair braking, steering, suspension, engine, cooling, and drivetrain systems.
• Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, tire services, alignments, and vehicle inspections.
• Complete Digital Vehicle Inspections (DVI) with documentation and repair recommendations.
• Collaborate with Service Advisors and technicians to maintain workflow and customer service.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Participate in paid training to stay current with automotive technology.
