Job summary

AAC in Washington, DC is seeking a Senior IT Systems Administrator to build, implement, and troubleshoot information systems within the Microsoft stack for on-site support.

The role emphasizes Azure/Active Directory management, policy administration, automation with PowerShell, and security hardening across Windows and Linux servers in a federal agency context. You will plan projects and resolve incidents in collaboration with IT teams.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field with six years IT experience, or ten years without a degree.
• Deep knowledge of Microsoft technologies including Active Directory, Entra ID, Intune, SCCM, Windows 10/11, M365, and Teams.
• Experience automating administrative tasks with PowerShell or similar tools.
• Ability to administer Windows servers and Azure cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Azure and Active Directory management: user accounts, group policies, access controls.
• Maintain automation and CI/CD infrastructure; write and deploy PowerShell scripts.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity and security.
• Provide end-user technical support and resolve Microsoft-related issues.
