Job summary

Gravity IT Resources is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to join our enterprise Infrastructure & Operations team for Azure-based production environments. You will design, implement, and support scalable infrastructure, owning the health of production systems and participating in a shared on-call rotation.

You will leverage Datadog for monitoring, implement SRE practices, and collaborate with database and release engineers to improve deployments and reliability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Systems Engineering or related production support experience.
• Hands-on experience with Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Experience owning production environments and incident response.
• Experience with Datadog or similar monitoring tools.
• Experience using Azure DevOps for CI/CD and work management.
• Strong troubleshooting across networking, servers, storage, and cloud environments.
• Automation experience with PowerShell or Python.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams.
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support scalable Azure infrastructure solutions for enterprise applications.
• Own the day-to-day operational health of production systems, ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability.
• Participate in a shared on-call rotation supporting infrastructure and application incidents.
• Implement SRE best practices, including monitoring, automation, alerting, and performance optimization.
• Proactively identify infrastructure risks, monitoring gaps, capacity concerns, and reliability issues before they impact production.
• Utilize monitoring and observability tools, including Datadog, to identify and resolve performance issues.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across networking, compute, storage, cloud infrastructure, and application environments.
• Partner with Database Engineers, Release Engineers, and other teams to support deployments and improvements.
• Manage infrastructure work and operational initiatives through Azure DevOps or similar platforms.
• Develop automation using PowerShell, Python, or similar scripting languages to improve efficiency.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and procedures.
• Research emerging technologies and recommend reliability improvements.
