Job summary

STI in Atlanta, GA, seeks an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to design, configure, and manage Azure and Windows Server environments, ensuring data governance and privacy compliance.

You will automate DBA tasks with PowerShell and SSIS, tune performance, implement DR strategies, and collaborate with IT teams to deploy secure, scalable solutions. This role requires strong troubleshooting, DevOps familiarity, and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in CS/IT or related field.
• Strong MS SQL Server, Windows Server, and Azure Cloud expertise.
• Advanced scripting with PowerShell and SSIS.
• Solid understanding of storage, networking, and cloud infrastructure.
• Excellent troubleshooting under pressure for production incidents.
• Certifications in relevant databases or Azure (e.g., Azure DB Admin) preferred.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps, and .NET apps.
• Experience with PowerApps, Power BI Services, Power Automate.

Responsibilities

• Infrastructure management: design, configure, provision, and manage hardware and software configurations (Azure and Windows Server).
• Automated job management: design, implement, and monitor automated database jobs, maintenance tasks, and ETL workflows.
• Scripting & Automation: write and maintain robust scripts (PowerShell, SSIS) to automate routine DBA tasks, deployments, backups, and health checks.
• Performance tuning: proactively monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, optimize queries, and manage indexing strategies.
• High availability & DR: maintain and test robust disaster recovery strategies, and failover testing; provide 24/7 support for mission-critical systems as needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams: support application development and data integration through environment configuration, IIS administration, and security/performance best practices.

• Scripting Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of scripting languages like PowerShell and SSIS for automation.
• Infrastructure Concept: Solid understanding of storage systems, network architecture, and cloud infrastructure (i.e. Azure).

• Certifications in relevant database technologies (e.g., Azure Database Administrator).
