Job summary

GDIT is seeking a Software Developer to join its Fort Liberty, NC team. You will deliver cloud-based software, maintain existing code, and support DevOps practices with CI/CD and security in mind.

Responsibilities include analyzing applications, designing and deploying new tools, and full lifecycle database development, using Azure, Git, and scripting languages.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's in CS and 3+ years of experience, with US citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education, certifications, training, and work/military experience.
• 3+ years of related experience.
• Strong working knowledge of coding/scripting and ability to read and maintain code written by others.
• Experience with Azure cloud offerings and implementing Infrastructure‑as‑Code in Azure (Bicep or ARM templates).
• Experience utilizing Git for source control and build pipelines.
• Ability to interpret specifications and requirements, troubleshoot, and create software solutions.

• Work with a team to analyze existing software applications and tools and recommend new technologies and methodologies to improve system performance and usability.
• Design, develop and deploy new software tools that extend or replace existing capabilities.
• Provide full lifecycle database design and software development, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, documentation, technical writing support, configuration, and maintenance of software projects.
• Maintain existing custom‑developed software and support COTS/GOTS software products as needed.
