Job summary

CGS Federal (Contact Government Services) seeks a PostgreSQL Database Developer to migrate from Oracle to Azure PostgreSQL and to proactively manage database environments. You will help scale our data analytics platform for federal customers, ensuring high performance and resilience.

Responsibilities include documentation, collaboration with internal teams, and ongoing maintenance, patching, and upgrades in a structured Agile setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 7+ years of experience administering PostgreSQL databases in Linux environments.
• Experience migrating Oracle schemas to PostgreSQL using Ora2Pg.

Responsibilities

• Migrate from Oracle to Microsoft Azure PostgreSQL and manage PostgreSQL environments.
• Create and maintain technical documentation using templates.
• Ensure database availability, performance, and resources for high resilience and speed.
• Collaborate with teams to translate objectives into technical requirements.
• Monitor, patch, upgrade, and maintain databases with minimal downtime.
• Perform and assist with performance tuning for developers and systems.
