CGS Federal (Contact Government Services) seeks a PostgreSQL Database Developer to support a migration from Oracle to PostgreSQL and to manage scalable database environments. The role emphasizes Azure Postgres deployment, performance tuning, and proactive monitoring within an Agile team.

The candidate will contribute to documentation, ensure high availability, and collaborate across internal and external teams to deliver data solutions for federal customers.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required.
7+ years of experience administering PostgreSQL databases in Linux environments.
Experience migrating Oracle schemas to PostgreSQL using Ora2Pg.

Responsibilities

Migrate from Oracle to Microsoft Azure PostgreSQL database.
Create and maintain technical documentation with templates.
Collaborate to translate objectives into technical requirements.
Ensure availability and performance of databases with proper resource allocation.
Assist developers with performance tuning and optimization.
Monitor databases for secure services with minimal downtime and handle rollouts, patches, and upgrades.
Work within a structured Agile development environment.
