Job summary

Numerator is seeking a highly experienced Senior Platform Engineer to join our Azure Platform team. You’ll build and operate the shared Azure platform that serves engineering workloads, focusing on infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, observability, and platform standards.

You will own end-to-end platform problems, work with distributed teams, and help drive cost awareness while ensuring production readiness.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in platform, DevOps, or cloud engineering.
• Strong depth in Azure compute, storage, networking, and identity (Entra ID).
• Proven IaC experience with Terraform: modules, state management, code review.
• Experience with Azure DevOps and GitHub CI/CD pipelines.
• Bash and PowerShell scripting proficiency.
• Knowledge of Azure governance: Policy, RBAC, management groups, tagging.
• Experience building monitoring with Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.
• Ability to work autonomously and partner with distributed teams.
• Enterprise-scale project experience; AI agent workflows welcome.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate Azure platform infrastructure defined in Terraform.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps and GitHub for platform and apps.
• Define and enforce platform standards: naming, tagging, modules, Azure Policy.
• Build observability for the platform: pipeline health and policy compliance.
• Support engineering teams; review changes and enable self-service.
• Monitor spend, flag waste, and right-size resources.
• Troubleshoot platform issues across compute, networking, storage, identity.
• Document capabilities and standards for self-serve access.
• Collaborate across enterprise-scale projects with distributed teams.
