Job summary

Valuelabs is seeking an Azure Platform Engineer to design and govern scalable cloud architectures aligned with CAF and security best practices. You will lead platform engineering, automation, and self-service capabilities with Backstage or similar tools.

The role requires deep Azure knowledge across landing zones, RBAC, and monitoring, plus API integration, IaC using Bicep/PowerShell/Python, and CI/CD for enterprise-scale platforms.

Qualifications

• Azure expertise for landing zones, RBAC, and governance in enterprise-scale environments.
• Strong ability to design scalable, secure cloud architectures aligned with CAF and Well-Architected.
• Secure-by-default principles, policy-as-code, and enterprise guardrails knowledge.
• Experience designing, consuming, and integrating REST APIs for automation and self-service workflows.
• Experience building reusable platform capabilities with automation and CI/CD.
• Experience creating and integrating self-service templates and workflows in Backstage (or similar).
• Experience with OAuth2/OIDC, Microsoft Graph API permissions, and workload identity federation.
• Proficiency in IaC and automation using Bicep, AVM (assuming Azure Deployment scripts), PowerShell, and Python.
• Familiarity with Azure services like Functions, Logic Apps, AKS, App Services, Key Vault, Monitor.

Responsibilities

• Azure Platform Expertise in landing zones, subscriptions, RBAC, policy baselines, and security guardrails.
• Lead Solution Architecture to design scalable, secure cloud architectures aligned with CAF and Well-Architected principles.
• Governance & Security implementation with policy-as-code and secure-by-default approaches.
• Design, consume, and integrate REST APIs to enable automation and self-service workflows.
• Develop platform capabilities as reusable products with automation and CI/CD integration.
• Build and integrate self-service capabilities, templates, and workflows in Backstage or similar.
• Implement application authentication with OAuth2/OIDC and Graph API permissions.
• Develop IaC and automation using Bicep, PowerShell, Python.
• Leverage cloud services (Functions, Logic Apps, Container Apps, AKS, SQL/Cosmos) and API management.
