Job summary

IT Associates is seeking an experienced Azure DevOps Engineer to design, automate, and maintain scalable cloud platform solutions on Microsoft Azure. You will collaborate with cloud architects, developers, and stakeholders to deliver secure, resilient, and cost-effective deployments.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with platform engineering, IaC, CI/CD, and enabling cloud-native deployments using Terraform, Azure App Service, Functions, and container workloads.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, DevOps, Infrastructure Automation, or related roles, with at least 2+ years supporting solutions on Microsoft Azure.
• Experience building automation, integrations, and tooling using Java and/or Python.
• Hands-on experience supporting Azure App Service, Azure Functions, and containerized workloads (Docker, Azure Container Registry).
• Strong experience with Terraform for provisioning Azure App Service and Azure Functions (IaC).
• Experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, GitHub Actions or Harness.
• Solid understanding of cloud security principles, identity management, access controls, and secrets management.
• Proficiency with Git and branching strategies.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Platform Engineering: Build and maintain reusable cloud platform capabilities enabling application teams to deploy and operate solutions in Azure.
• Infrastructure Automation: Develop, maintain, and enhance Terraform-based automation and reusable deployment patterns.
• CI/CD & Automation: Build, support, and improve deployment pipelines using Harness and other tools.
• Platform Enablement: Support deployment, automation, and operational excellence for Azure-hosted applications and services.
• Security & Governance: Implement cloud security standards, access controls, secrets management, and governance best practices.
• Monitoring & Optimization: Leverage Azure monitoring tools to identify issues and improve reliability.
• Collaboration: Work with architects, developers, operations teams, and stakeholders on modernization and cloud adoption.
