Job summary

Med-Metrix is seeking an Azure Network & Security Engineer to design, deploy, and manage Azure network architectures and security services across the enterprise. You will implement Defender for Cloud, Sentinel, and WAF policies while enforcing a zero-trust posture and regulatory compliance.

The role collaborates with cloud engineering, compliance, and business stakeholders to deliver secure, auditable cloud infrastructure and respond to audits with evidence and artifacts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 5+ years of IT in Azure network/security roles.
• Experience with Azure network security services.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage Azure network architectures including Hub-and-Spoke, Virtual WAN, VNets, subnets, peering, routing, and hybrid connectivity.
• Implement and manage Azure network security services including Azure Firewall, WAF, DDoS Protection, NSGs, Private Endpoints, Private DNS, and Service Endpoints.
• Deploy and manage Defender for Cloud, Defender for Endpoint, and Sentinel with detection rules, automation, and incident response.
• Implement Azure security governance through Azure Policy, RBAC, baselines, and compliance controls (HIPAA, SOC 2, PCI-DSS, NIST).
• Monitor and troubleshoot with Azure Monitor, Network Watcher, Log Analytics, and Connection Monitor.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, threat modeling, and remediation coordination across teams.
• Develop and maintain network security documentation and runbooks.
• Partner with DevOps to integrate security into CI/CD and advance DevSecOps.
• Evaluate emerging Azure networking/security tech to strengthen posture.
• Support audits with security evidence, risk assessments, and compliance artifacts.
