Job summary

MedVanta is seeking an IT Network Engineer to design, support, and maintain the organization’s network and cloud infrastructure with a strong emphasis on Microsoft Azure environments. The role includes on-site field service at office and clinical locations to install and troubleshoot network systems.

You will serve as Level 2 escalation for the IT Help Desk, mentoring staff and guiding security, reliability, and disaster recovery initiatives while supporting hybrid environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field preferred.
• 4–7 years of experience in Azure/AWS cloud services, IT infrastructure, networking, or systems engineering.
• Cloud Services certification required.
• Relevant certifications (Azure Network Engineer Associate, Security, AWS Solutions Architect) preferred but not required.
• Prior experience providing Level 2/Tier 2 support.
• Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, etc.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain secure LAN/WAN, VLANs, VPNs, and firewall configurations.
• Design, implement, and manage network and cloud infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
• Monitor network performance, availability, and security; proactively remediate issues.
• Support and manage hybrid environments.
• Install, configure, test, repair, and replace network equipment; coordinate with vendors.
• Provide Tier II support to Help Desk staff and escalation handling.
• Document configurations, standards, and resolutions for knowledge base.
• Assist with cloud migrations and infrastructure-as-code initiatives (ARM/Bicep/Terraform).
