Job summary

Allied Resources Technical Consultants seeks a Sr. Cloud Network Engineer to design, implement, and support enterprise networking across Microsoft Azure, hybrid environments, SD-WAN, and LAN/WAN infrastructure. You will drive cloud connectivity, automation, and modernization initiatives.

You will lead projects, collaborate with security and architecture teams, and manage vendor relationships to ensure reliable connectivity and secure access controls across on-prem and cloud environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in network engineering, cloud infrastructure, or hybrid cloud operations.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure networking services.
• Deep understanding of TCP/IP, IPv4/IPv6, DNS, DHCP, NAT, VPNs, routing, switching, and network security.
• Experience supporting hybrid cloud environments and enterprise connectivity solutions.
• Hands-on experience with Azure VNets, ExpressRoute, VPN Gateway, NSGs, Route Tables, Load Balancers, and Private Endpoints.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support Azure networking services including VNets, subnets, route tables, NSGs, VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute, Load Balancers, Application Gateway, Private Link, and DNS services.
• Manage and optimize hybrid network connectivity between Azure, offices, remote sites, data centers, and third-party environments.
• Support and maintain enterprise networking technologies including routing, switching, wireless networking, VLANs, WAN circuits, VPNs, and SD-WAN/SASE platforms.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve network performance, latency, DNS, routing, bandwidth, and connectivity issues across cloud and on-prem environments.
• Lead network infrastructure projects including office expansions, cloud migrations, network upgrades, and connectivity deployments.
• Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and architecture teams to implement secure network segmentation and access controls.
• Manage relationships with ISPs, telecommunications providers, cloud vendors, and MSPs to ensure reliable connectivity and service delivery.
• Perform network lifecycle management activities including firmware upgrades, hardware refreshes, configuration management, and change control.
• Support wireless deployments including AP implementation, wireless surveys, coverage optimization, and 802.1X/NAC initiatives.
• Implement Infrastructure-as-Code and automation solutions using Terraform, Azure CLI, PowerShell, Bicep, Python, or similar technologies.
• Maintain accurate network documentation, diagrams, standards, and operational procedures.
• Participate in on-call support and serve as an escalation point for critical network and infrastructure incidents.
