Job summary

Allied Resources Technical Consultants seeks a Cloud Network Engineer to sustain and optimize Azure-based and hybrid network environments across on-premises offices and project sites. You will implement cloud networking solutions, enterprise LAN/WAN connectivity, and SD‑WAN technologies.

The ideal candidate brings 3–5 years in network engineering, strong Azure networking skills, and experience with hybrid cloud environments.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Networking, or related discipline or equivalent experience.
3–5 years of network engineering, IT infrastructure, or cloud operations.
Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure networking, including VNets, subnets, peering, NSGs, VPN Gateway, load balancers, and private endpoints.
Solid understanding of TCP/IP, IPv4/IPv6, DNS, DHCP, NAT, routing, VPNs, and subnetting.
Experience supporting hybrid cloud environments, enterprise LAN/WAN infrastructure, SD‑WAN, remote access, and distributed office networks.
Hands-on experience with enterprise switching and wireless technologies, including VLANs, trunking, PoE, 802.1X, and Wi‑Fi troubleshooting.
Familiarity with WAN connectivity technologies, including DIA, broadband, MPLS, and managed network services.
Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) and network automation.
Strong communication, troubleshooting, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

Manage Microsoft Azure networking infrastructure (VNets, subnets, routing, NSGs, VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute).
Support hybrid cloud connectivity (site-to-site VPNs, SD‑WAN, SASE platforms, private connections).
Configure and troubleshoot LAN/WAN, VLANs, routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, and network segmentation.
Monitor network availability and performance; troubleshoot latency, packet loss, and bandwidth issues.
Deploy and maintain switches, wireless APs, WAN circuits, and cloud-managed networking platforms (Cisco Meraki or similar).
Collaborate with IT Security and Infrastructure teams on security standards and remote access configurations.
Support network projects (cloud migrations, office expansions, hardware refreshes, firmware upgrades).
Coordinate with providers and contractors to resolve incidents and implement improvements.
Maintain network documentation, diagrams, runbooks, and procedures; support after-hours maintenance.
