Job summary

Kokosing is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to design, implement, and optimize Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environments in a hybrid IT setting. The role focuses on identity and access management, cloud infrastructure, and security controls across Microsoft technologies.

The ideal candidate will manage Azure services, Entra ID, and M365 workloads, while ensuring cost efficiency, compliance, and automation through PowerShell scripting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of systems administration experience.
• 3+ years administering Microsoft 365 environments.
• 3+ years supporting Microsoft Azure cloud services.
• Experience with: Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, Azure Virtual Desktop, Intune, PowerShell.
• Strong hybrid identity, MFA and Conditional Access knowledge.
• Knowledge of licensing and tenant governance.
• Microsoft certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support Microsoft Azure infrastructure and services
• Manage Azure Virtual Machines, networking, firewall, storage accounts and resource groups
• Configure and maintain Azure Virtual Desktop environments
• Monitor Azure resource utilization, performance and cost optimization
• Support Azure backup, disaster recovery, and high availability solutions
• Administer Microsoft 365 tenants including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, Entra ID, Intune
• Manage user provisioning, licensing, and RBAC
• Configure Defender and Purview security/compliance features
• Support Teams voice, meetings and collaboration services
• Troubleshoot mail flow, authentication, and tenant-related issues
• Assist with IAM automation and documentation
