Job summary

Tier4 Group in Atlanta, GA is seeking an experienced Azure Infrastructure Engineer for a contract-to-hire role. The position is hybrid (4 days onsite, transitioning to 3 days) in the Cumberland Blvd area, supporting Azure infrastructure and Azure Virtual Desktop.

This role focuses on administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of cloud-based systems to support a growing organization. Transition to permanent employment may be offered.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in Azure administration or cloud infrastructure roles.
• Strong Windows Server experience including patching and backups.
• Experience with Azure services: compute, networking, storage, identity, security, monitoring.
• Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) or VDI environments.
• Proficiency with Entra ID, Conditional Access, RBAC, MFA, Intune, and GPO.
• PowerShell scripting and automation experience.
• Excellent troubleshooting and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer and optimize Azure-hosted Windows Server environments.
• Manage Azure infrastructure components: VMs, networking, storage, backup.
• Support and maintain AVD environments with host pools and session hosts.
• Monitor performance, health, and end-user experience with Azure tools.
• Develop runbooks and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with IT, security, and support teams to resolve issues.
• Assist cloud modernization and automation initiatives.
• Automate tasks with PowerShell and other tools.
