Job summary

The Infrastructure Engineer at Goodwill Central Texas will design, deploy, and maintain on-premises and cloud infrastructure, focusing on reliability, security, and scalability. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in IT/CS.
• 5+ years of infrastructure, systems engineering or related roles.
• Strong experience managing Windows Server environments and virtualization.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services and administration.
• Basic LAN/WAN/VPN/firewall knowledge with troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with patch management and vulnerability remediation.
• Experience with third-party vendors and service providers.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Availability for after-hours maintenance or incident response.
• Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance requirements.
• Experience with monitoring and alerting platforms.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and maintain physical and virtual servers, storage platforms, and core infrastructure.
• Administer cloud services with a focus on Azure including compute, storage, networking, identity, and security.
• Design and maintain network solutions for on-premises and cloud environments.
• Manage server and patching processes to remain secure and compliant.
• Identify and remediate vulnerabilities across infra and cloud environments.
• Implement infrastructure automation using IaC and configuration management tools.
• Monitor health, performance, and capacity; proactively resolve issues.
• Collaborate with IT teams to support deployments and upgrades.
• Serve as liaison with vendors and cloud partners.
• Participate in infrastructure planning and lifecycle management.
