Role Summary
As the Azure Infrastructure Engineer, you will lead, develop, and maintain Azure cloud environment for a growing organization. Being responsible for automation, optimization, and cloud migration leadership for the company.

Responsibilities
- Azure Infrastructure Engineering: Design, deploy, configure, and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure including virtual machines, virtual networks, storage accounts, load balancers, and security groups. Manage entire Azure environment supporting 30+ servers and 300+ users with minimal supervision.
- Cloud Migration Leadership: Lead and execute the ongoing migration from legacy on-premises and virtual private cloud infrastructure to Azure, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance. Plan and implement migration strategies for applications, data, and services.
- Infrastructure Automation: Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, or other solutions such as ARM templates, Bicep, etc. to automate deployment and configuration of Azure resources. Implement CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployments.
- Identity and Access Management: Architect, implement, and manage Microsoft EntraID (Azure Active Directory) infrastructure, including user provisioning, group management, conditional access policies, and hybrid identity scenarios.
- Monitoring and Optimization: Implement comprehensive monitoring solutions using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics. Proactively identify performance issues, optimize resource utilization, and manage costs while ensuring high availability and disaster recovery capabilities.
- Security and Compliance: Ensure Azure infrastructure adheres to security best practices and compliance requirements. Implement and maintain security controls including Azure Security Center, Key Vault, and network security groups. Coordinate with SecOps for regular security assessments and continuous vulnerability management.
- Self-Directed Project Management: Independently plan, prioritize, and execute infrastructure projects and tasks with minimal management intervention. Demonstrate strong autonomy in problem-solving and decision-making while maintaining alignment with organizational goals.
- Collaboration and Documentation: Work effectively with development teams, system administrators, security team, and business stakeholders to support application deployments and infrastructure requirements. Maintain comprehensive documentation of infrastructure architecture, processes, and procedures.
- Continuous Learning: Stay current with emerging Azure services, features, and industry best practices. Evaluate and recommend new technologies to enhance organizational capabilities and efficiency.

Qualifications
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, OR equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience with Azure infrastructure design, implementation, and management.
- Azure Expertise: Extensive knowledge of core Azure services including Virtual Networks (VNets), Virtual Machines, Storage (Blob, Files, Disks), App Services, Azure Monitor, and networking components. Proven experience with Azure Resource Manager and subscription management.
- EntraID Architecture: Strong experience with Microsoft EntraID (Azure Active Directory) architecture, implementation, and management. Knowledge of hybrid identity scenarios, authentication protocols, and access management best practices.
- Infrastructure as Code: Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools and methodologies, Terraform-preferred, but not mandatory. Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar CI/CD platforms for infrastructure automation.
- Technical Skills: Strong scripting abilities with PowerShell, Azure CLI, Python, and/or Bash. Experience with network configuration, security implementation, backup and disaster recovery solutions, and performance monitoring in cloud environments.
- Self-Direction and Autonomy: Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision, effectively prioritize multiple tasks and projects, and drive initiatives to completion. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with capability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience collaborating in cross-functional team environments.
- Preferred Certifications: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104), Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305), Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500), and/or other relevant Azure certifications. Industry certifications such as CompTIA Network+ or Security+ also valued.
- Preferred Additional Skills: Experience with Azure services such as Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure SQL Database, Azure Backup, Azure Site Recovery, and Azure Security Center. Knowledge of hybrid cloud architectures and integration with on-premises systems.
