Job description

Location: Remote

Duration: 6 months

Job Description:

• Provide Level 2 support for enterprise IT infrastructure including servers, networks, storage, and virtualization platforms.
• Monitor infrastructure health using tools like SolarWinds, Nagios, or similar, and respond to alerts in a timely manner.
• Perform routine maintenance and patch management of Windows/Linux servers and infrastructure components.
• Manage user access and identity services such as Active Directory, Group Policies, and Entra ID (Azure AD).
• Troubleshoot and resolve incidents related to hardware, operating systems, virtual machines, and backup systems.
• Support cloud-based environments(Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform) and assist in hybrid cloud operations.
• Administer virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, or KVM.
• Ensure system availability and performance, implementing proactive measures for incident avoidance.
• Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance with security baselines and respond to vulnerabilities.
• Participate in change management processes, performing impact analysis and executing changes during approved windows.
• Document standard operating procedures, known errors, and workarounds in a knowledge base.
• Respond to service requests and incidents using ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, Manage Engine, or Jira Service Desk.
• Coordinate with vendors and third-party for hardware replacements, support escalations, or warranty claims.
• Assist with disaster recovery planning and regularly test DR procedures to ensure readiness.
• Contribute to infrastructure improvement projects, automation, and optimization initiatives.
