Job summary

AnaVation LLC is seeking a junior-level Azure Engineer to join our federal program. This full-time role can be performed remotely with occasional travel to Washington DC. You’ll help build and maintain Azure infrastructure, develop deployment pipelines, and support governance and security practices.

Ideal candidates hold a US Bachelor's in a related field, possess basic Azure experience, and show eagerness to learn IaC and DevOps. Public Trust clearance and citizenship are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, or IT.
• Hands-on cloud experience; Azure projects preferred.
• U.S. Citizenship; Public Trust clearance.
• Basic knowledge of Azure services (VMs, Storage, Networking, RBAC, Azure AD).
• Familiar with IaC tools (Terraform, Bicep, ARM) or eager to learn.
• PowerShell or Python scripting basics.

Responsibilities

• Assist in building and maintaining Azure cloud infrastructure using IaC tools (Terraform, Bicep, ARM).
• Contribute to automated deployment pipelines via Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Support cloud governance, security configurations, and operational best practices.
• Troubleshoot basic Azure networking, compute, identity, storage, and container issues.
• Participate in design sessions and contribute to solution architecture discussions.
• Maintain documentation for infrastructure components and deployment processes.
• Learn and apply Azure updates, IaC best practices, and automation standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement cloud solutions.

Description of Task to be Performed:

AnaVation is seeking a junior-level Azure Engineer (US Citizenship required). This a newly-awarded contract, so theselected candidate must be a self-starter who is eager to quickly integrate with a high-performing team responsible foraccrediting and implementing a new digital evidence platform for our Federal Government client. This is a full-timeposition that can be performed remotely with occasional travel to Washington DC as needed.

What you will be doing

• Assist in building and maintaining Azure cloud infrastructure using IaC tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or ARMtemplates.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of automated deployment pipelines using Azure DevOps orGitHub Actions.
• Support cloud governance, security configurations, and operational best practices.
• Help troubleshoot and resolve basic cloud infrastructure issues across Azure networking, compute, identity,storage, and container services.
• Participate in team design sessions and contribute to solution architecture discussions.
• Maintain documentation for infrastructure components, deployment processes, and operational procedures.
• Learn and apply Azure platform updates, IaC best practices, and automation standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and assist with implementing cloud solutions.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology
• Hands-on experience with cloud technologies; personal projects with Azure may be acceptable.
• Clearance:
• Public Trust; US Citizenship is required
• Other Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Basic understanding of Azure services such as VMs, Storage, Networking, RBAC, and Azure AD.
• Familiarity with IaC tools (Terraform, Bicep, ARM) or strong interest in learning them.
• Exposure to version control tools such as Git.
• Foundational scripting knowledge in PowerShell or Python.
• Strong desire to learn cloud engineering, automation, and DevOps practices.
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to follow technical guidance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Azure certifications (AZ-900, AZ-104) or progress toward them.
• Experience with CI/CD platforms (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
• Familiarity with container technologies (Docker, AKS) is a plus.
• Coursework, labs, or personal projects involving cloud infrastructure or automation

Please note: The listed salary range reflects our market-based compensation structure. Final compensation will depend on business needs, local market conditions, internal equity, and the selected candidate’s skills, education, and experience.
