Job summary

SteelGate LLC is seeking an experienced Azure Administrator to lead secure cloud infrastructure in Augusta, GA. The role focuses on architecting and operating GCC High Azure Government enclaves, implementing zero-trust IAM, and enforcing DoD/NIST controls.

You will automate deployments with IaC, monitor security posture with Azure Monitor and Microsoft Sentinel, and drive continuous hardening across cloud environments. Requires DoD Secret clearance and AZ-104/SC-100-like certifications.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience administering Microsoft Azure environments, including GCC High/USGov tenancy configurations.
• Experience managing Microsoft Entra ID, Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Key Vault, and Azure Networking.
• Proficiency with PowerShell, Azure CLI, and Bicep/ARM or Terraform for IaC.
• Certifications: AZ-104 or SC-100/AZ-500; DoD 8140/8570 baseline; DoD Secret clearance.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance or ability to clear Tier 3/NAC background instincts.

Responsibilities

• Secure Azure Enclave Deployment: Build, configure, and maintain GCC High environments, VNets, and identity boundaries.
• IAM: Manage Entra ID, conditional access, RBAC, MFA, and PIM.
• Network & boundary security: NSGs, Azure Firewall, ExpressRoute/VPN, VNet peering, WAF.
• IaC & Automation: Develop Terraform/Bicep/ARM templates for repeatable deployments.
• NIST 800-171 mapping to CMMC Level 2 controls.
• Logging & monitoring: Centralized log management with Azure Monitor & Sentinel.
• Vulnerability management: Patch management, backups, and host hardening.
• Produce artifacts for C3PAO assessment.
