Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions seeks an Azure Enclave Administrator to design, secure, and maintain highly controlled enclave environments for a government/defense client. The role is 100% on site in Springfield, VA with active TS/SCI required.

The candidate will architect enclave infrastructure, develop runbooks and security guides, and collaborate across security, networking and compliance teams to strengthen cloud deployments and Zero Trust controls.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility required.
• 6+ years in enclave architecture, security engineering, or IT infrastructure management.
• Hands-on experience managing production Azure services (compute, networking, storage, identity).
• Experience with Azure subscriptions, resource groups, and Entra ID (Azure AD).
• Experience creating managing VMs, containers, and storage accounts in Azure.
• Proficiency in PowerShell and Azure CLI.
• 5+ years of technical writing for cloud-based or security-focused systems.
• Working knowledge of ARM, Bicep, and/or Terraform templates.
• Experience supporting hybrid/government clouds (Azure Government/on-prem integrations).
• Strong understanding of IAM, network security, encryption, and Zero Trust.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect enclave infrastructure to meet security and operational requirements.
• Develop documentation, runbooks, SOPs, and security guides for Tier 3/2 teams.
• Implement and enforce security controls within enclave environments.
• Collaborate with networking, security, and compliance teams to enhance security and resilience.
• Conduct infrastructure and security risk assessments and recommend improvements.
• Provide strategic IT support for secure enclave operations.
• Develop Azure architecture diagrams and IaC artifacts.
