Job summary

Xlysi LLC. is seeking a senior EDI developer to design, implement, and migrate healthcare EDI pipelines to Azure. You will replace Edifecs workflows with cloud-native schemas for 834/278/270/271/835/837, ensuring accuracy and scalable transformation.

In this onsite Chicago role, you will collaborate with onshore/offshore teams, implement AI-assisted tooling, and build robust test and rollback procedures, while maintaining HIPAA-compliant processes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on experience with X12 EDI transactions in healthcare payer or clearinghouse
• Experience migrating off Edifecs to a cloud-based platform
• Proficiency with Azure integration services (Logic Apps, Functions, API Management)
• Strong development skills in C#/.NET or Python for transform/validation logic
• Familiarity with HIPAA 5010 guides and partner onboarding
• Exposure to AI-assisted development tools (Copilot) and SQL/data stores

Responsibilities

• Design and build EDI processing pipelines on Azure to replace Edifecs workflows
• Migrate X12 mapping/validation rules to Azure-native schemas and code
• Own end-to-end development for 834, 278, 270/271, 835, 837 transactions
• Define test scenarios and automated validation with QE
• Collaborate with teams during migration, parallel run, and go-live
• Document mappings, runbooks, and cutover/rollback plans
• Support partner communications during deployment phases
