Job summary

SMX is seeking Cloud Subject Matter Experts (Junior/Mid/Senior) to support secure, scalable multi-cloud infrastructure for the United States Air Force. You will collaborate with government personnel and teams to establish standards and communicate architectures.

You will lead assessments moving applications to the Cloud One platform, provide design considerations, and guide discussions with customers and cloud providers. Active security clearance Secret is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification required.
• 4+ years of cloud experience.
• Ability to explain cloud solutions and options clearly.
• Familiarity with RMF, NIST 800-53, STIGs and cloud security.
• Experience leading enterprise-scale integrations and automation.
• Experience with cloud governance tools (Xacta, eMASS).

Responsibilities

• Lead assessment, design, and execution of moving applications to the Cloud One platform, ensuring security and operational standards.
• Demonstrate technical cloud expertise across hybrid, native, multi-cloud, and on‑prem environments.
• Provide support to customers from market research to high-level design considerations.
• Conduct cloud analysis, product building, presentations and delivery, including cloud service comparisons.
• Identify best-in-breed cloud solutions supporting governance and policy-making.
• Build and analyze use cases and reference architectures.
• Lead technical discussions in customer and leadership meetings.
