Job summary

Alvys Inc. is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to protect our multi-tenant SaaS platform powering the US freight industry.

You will close cloud security gaps, integrate security checks into shipping software, run our penetration testing program, and support internal security and AI tooling infrastructure. You'll partner with DevOps, engineering, IT & Security teams and external vendors to design secure defaults, automate security, and drive SOC 2 compliance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, or security engineering.
• Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (Azure, AWS, or GCP), incl. networking and IAM.
• Production experience with infrastructure as code, preferably Terraform.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Working knowledge of containers and Kubernetes.
• Scripting skills in Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
• Understanding of common security risks in cloud and web applications, and how to fix them.
• Ability to explain technical risk clearly to engineers and non-engineers.
• Fluent in English, spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Design cloud security architecture and strengthen our cloud security posture, including network isolation and IAM.
• Manage vulnerability management and pipeline security, expanding AI-assisted security testing.
• Oversee penetration testing with third parties and internal tools.
• Deploy and operate internal applications in Azure with proper identity, secrets, and backups.
• Build telemetry pipelines for our AI and internal tools, with dashboards and alerts.
• Collaborate with DevOps, engineering, IT & Security; write runbooks and SOC 2 evidence.
