Job summary

SCIA is seeking a hands-on DevOps Engineer (Mid-Level) to design, build, and operate our automation platform on Azure. You will own end-to-end automation components, contribute production-grade IaC, and drive cost efficiency and reliability across cloud environments.

In this role you will lead onboarding with application teams, participate in planning, review code, and mentor junior engineers while advancing security posture and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional DevOps/cloud engineering or automation experience.
• Hands-on experience deploying workloads in Microsoft Azure.
• Strong automation scripting with Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
• 2–5 years of JavaScript/TypeScript for automation or CI/CD.
• Experience in enterprise environments with formal change management and release controls.

Responsibilities

• Design, enhance, and maintain Azure IaC using ARM modules and examples.
• Build and operate CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins and GitHub.
• Develop automation for patching, scaling, diagnostics, cost optimization, and policy compliance.
• Lead onboarding engagements with application teams and resolve deployment issues.
• Participate in PI planning, backlog refinement, and release change management.
• Perform code reviews and provide guidance to junior engineers.
