Job summary

BizOptimize is seeking a Database Infrastructure engineer to design, maintain, and optimize our core database environments. You will guard our data ecosystem, focusing on automation, scheduling, and infrastructure scaling to ensure maximum uptime and peak performance.

The role emphasizes scripting with PowerShell and SSIS, managing Azure Cloud services and Windows Servers, and implementing robust DR and high-availability strategies to support mission-critical systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or equivalent in CS/IT.
Experience with enterprise databases and Azure cloud.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting under production load.
Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

Design, configure, provision, and manage hardware and software configurations in Azure and Windows Server environments.
Ensure data governance compliance and manage user permissions.
Design, implement, and monitor automated database jobs, maintenance tasks, and ETL workflows.
Write and maintain robust scripts (SSIS, PowerShell) to automate routine DBA tasks, deployments, backups, and health checks.
Proactively monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, optimize queries, and manage indexing strategies.
Maintain and test disaster recovery strategies and perform failover testing; provide 24/7 support as needed.
Collaborate with IT teams to support app development, environment configuration, IIS admin, and security/performance best practices.
