Job summary

Wipro Limited in Minneapolis seeks an Azure Databricks Engineer to design and deliver scalable Lakehouse solutions on Azure using Databricks, Delta Lake, PySpark, Spark SQL, ADLS Gen2, ADF, Synapse, and governance practices. You will design Databricks Lakehouse architecture, build pipelines with Databricks tools, and optimize Spark workloads while migrating from SAS/legacy ETL platforms.

The role requires 5–8 years of relevant experience and is based in Minneapolis with onsite work.

Qualifications

5-8 years of experience in data engineering with Databricks.
Experience designing scalable lakehouse architectures on Azure.
Strong knowledge of PySpark, Spark SQL, and Delta Lake.

Responsibilities

Design Databricks Lakehouse architecture using Delta Lake and Bronze/Silver/Gold layers.
Build pipelines using Databricks Workflows, Delta Live Tables, Auto Loader, and Azure Data Factory.
Work with Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2, Synapse, PySpark, Spark SQL, and SQL for enterprise data solutions.
Optimize Spark workloads through partitioning, cluster sizing, data skew handling, and photon acceleration.
Lead migration from legacy data platforms to modern Databricks-based solutions.
