Job summary

Trane Technologies plc is seeking a Data Developer to own and evolve the data foundation of our enterprise telematics SaaS platform. You will handle high‑throughput IoT data ingestion, transformation, and storage across Cosmos DB, ADX, and Azure SQL, shaping architecture with backend engineers and product teams.

You will lead data lifecycle design, governance, and cost optimization while delivering reliable pipelines and analytics capabilities for millions of daily telemetry events.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional data engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Technology, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end data architecture across Cosmos DB, ADX, Azure SQL, and Fabric.
• Architect and optimize Cosmos DB for high‑throughput IoT workloads.
• Build and manage ADX clusters and ingestion pipelines.
• Design and maintain Azure SQL schemas, stored procedures, and ETL jobs.
• Architect data flow for real‑time, warm, and cold analytics paths.
• Build and maintain ingestion pipelines using Azure Functions, Event Hubs, and Service Bus.
• Collaborate with backend engineers, product, and leadership.
• Ensure reliability, observability, and cost optimization of data pipelines.
