Job summary

Orion180 Insurance Services, LLC is seeking an experienced Data & Analytics Architect to design and govern scalable data platforms on Microsoft Azure. You will bridge core insurance systems with analytical consumers, implement lakehouse architectures, and lead cloud migrations while ensuring robust data governance and security.

The role requires expert Python/SQL skills, PySpark, Spark SQL, and strong data modeling capabilities.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in enterprise data architecture leading data platform initiatives
• Strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL systems (Azure SQL Database, Azure Cosmos DB)
• High proficiency in Python, SQL, PySpark, Spark SQL
• Geospatial data types and location intelligence experience
• Microsoft Azure certifications preferred (Azure Data Engineer or Azure Solutions Architect)
• US citizenship or Green Card holder required

Responsibilities

• Design scalable data platforms on Microsoft Azure for enterprise insurance data
• Bridge core insurance systems (Policy Admin, Claims, Billing) with analytics consumers
• Lead data lakehouse architecture, data governance, and cloud migrations
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business leaders to deliver production assets for analytics
• Mentor engineers on scalability and pipeline efficiency
• Power semantic layers and data products to support Power BI implementations
